This post is correct, Jack Daniels is made from cheap, mass produced GMO grain, AKA, the cheapest, shittiest grain you can get. You are either educated, or you drink swill.

That being said Blantons Single Barrel the best Bourbon but good luck finding it. DEFIANT, was a decent whiskey I tried recently. Buffalo Trace is usually the way to go for me.

I can find it just about everywhere where I live(eastern Missouri) and it's about the same price or a bit less than wild turkey 101 here. I can get practically anything though because I have a friend that owns a liquor store here so if I have no luck with anything he'll order it for me, it's how I ended up with a few bottles of Blantons for my bar, had to go there yesterday because new years did a number on my stash.

Because aging. Vodka is cheap because it doesn't need aged, it's basically pure ethanol cut with water to hit a reasonable proof. Most other liquors aren't as simple but they also require very little to no aging. Rum is a few years, wine needs just a year or two, Port is heavily cut with fresh wine making it quite cheap, outside of the whiskey/bourbon/scotch families, Brandy is the only one that really requires serious aging times. You can drink young whiskey and shit but it's just going to taste of alcohol because like I said, it's basically just vodka still.
