Probably, if you get low/no sodium broth or else >>13439655. You could also just drink unsweetened seltzer instead, or plain water. Milk is good too and even though it's high in calories it's more satiating than soda. Tea and coffee would be good if you don't add too much sugar/cream. Or you could just limit your soda to 6 oz per day or so.

Connections between excessive sodium and blood pressure have been highly overstated. Both hyponatremia and hypernatremia can cause high blood pressure, and serum sodium is regulated by the proportion of salt intake and fluid intake, not just one or the other. As it turns out, you need all your electrolytes balanced. Who fucking knew.
But yeah, drinking as much broth as the average adult drinks sugary soda is still a fucking bad idea. You can't just replace one excess with another and expect to be a fucking gold medallist after a week.
