Does anyone here go to a Community Christmas Dinner?

I'm thinking of going for the first time ever. We have our family dinner on Christmas Eve so Christmas Day itself is kind of a letdown. In the next town over, there is a Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day from noon to 1:30 pm. I'm thinking of going.

It looks kind of fun. I wonder how many people I would know at it.

We don't have any McDonald's where I live.

There's a Dairy Queen, though. I might go there for supper tonight.

If Keith is there, I'm staying away from him.

I did go to something like a Community Thanksgiving Dinner, though. It was run by the Catholic Church in that town and mainly for the students at the university there who didn't have anywhere to go.

I was the first one to arrive and ended up helping set up the chairs and tables.

The food was quite good, too.

That guy way in the back. The one that doesn't look like he's trying to sell you a used car. You know he's slaying it in the breakroom.

community dinners are mostly just old people relieving the community events that used to be standard before they were completely obliterated by the social movements in the 50's-70's and the rampant death of local culture.

very depressing, but the old people are usually very happy to see younger people hang out with them, reminds them of the old days.

It's hard to blame them. The concept of a redpill wasn't invented until 1999, meaning all those boomers were bluepilled.
