I want to make my own honey-mustard.
Is it just the two of them and at what ratio or can I spruce it up somehow?

I think you can't just mix them. The honey and mustard won't mix because the mustard is too acidic or something I don't really know.

Use 1 part honey, 1 part Dijon, 1 part wholegrain, 1 part olive oil, 0.5 part lemon juice, pepper.

went to a restaurant once and had chicken tendies with honey musty dippy sauce. turns out they just combined grape jelly with dijon mustard. tasted pretty good.

That's why you had a little mayo. You want more mustard than honey, honey should be added to taste. Then do just a little bit of mayo, enough to bring it together but not enough to overpower or turn it white. Or use another fat/oil emulsive like this guy
