Literally nobody is going to spit in your food, and 90% of the time your order gets messed up it's the server's fault. Most likely they're just busy and things get a little crazy when it's busy, but nobody is going to take the time to spit in your food for a refire that you or the waitress fucked up.

The only time I ever felt warranted to send food back was some very dry fish tacos from a Mexican Restaurant but I didn't ask for a replacement. I used to work in a steakhouse and there was never any spitting that I was aware of.

Nearly everyone is like this. It's voting with your dollar. Never going back is what they deserve if you think the quality, service or menu sucks. It's why the success rate of restaurants is only 10%.
Management needs you to complain so they can fix things, so if you don't want them to close, at least say something on the way out, and then refuse all recompense if you want, so you don't look like the dude trying to get the free thing, ie lying. That's what I do.

I think if they screw up a little thing, it's no big deal. I'll just roll with it. A complete fuck up is a huge red flag, and they're just not worth going to. People won't spit in your food unless you're the biggest cunt in the universe. If the cook can't cook, you shouldn't be giving them your business.

It depends how wrong the order is. If it's really wrong (like restaurant forgot to put added cost items like bacon and an egg on my hamburger, gave me a salad instead of french fries) I'll say something. If it's something like "french fries instead of the tater tots I ordered" or "wtf this burger is medium instead of rare" it's not that big of a deal and I'll just eat what I got. I'm not anal about my food's perfection.

Maybe. The difference of $1-2 isn't worth waiting for the restaurant to make everything over again. Especially if I'm out with someone who will then feel uncomfortable that they got their food before me.

Same. Food is food is food in my opinion. If i get a wrong order I'll still eat it and pay my bill. But afterward, if it bothered me enough, I just don't come back there for a while. Then hopefully the shitty server overdoses or gets fired and next time when I come back service will be better than ever. These issues tend to resolve themselves, or at least the Karens that chew out the managers resolve it for me. Problem solved, all is well.
