Why do you let meat rest after cooking?

juices getting back into meat. If you would cut into a steak right after it's done, the juices would spill all over the plate
t.never cooked a steak

>> No.13354890

Why do you post banal questions every hour just so you can put another frog picture on the front page

It went through quite the ordeal. It gets tired.

This. When you let it sit, it becomes a sponge and sucks all le juices back into itself. It knows if you let it rest or not, too, because when you cut it too early after finished cooking it will spill all over juice like spighetti

You're supposed to salt your steak... Of course the juice will spill out if you don't salt it. Just like if you don't consume any salt, you won't retain any water

People who let their meat rest are just idiots. If you leave you meat out the only thing thats happening is their meat is getting colder and drier. Literally a bourdain meme used to impress normies.
