Anyone else here work at Culver's?

I just got convicted for a DUI and so had to find a new job I could walk to (otherwise I'm a college educated white collar professional). I applied to Culver's because I needed a paycheck and I started last night. Haven't worked food service for quite a long time. Anyone have tips for someone re-entering the fast food workplace? I only started, but I'm working with a combination of adult retards and high school kids. Of course I'm an alkie with a DUI on my record, so I can't be picky at the moment. I told myself it would be better than McDonalds or Jimmy John's. Hopefully they proves to be the case.

Bullshit story. First time offenders are never convicted of DUIs

Not normally, but they are when you hit a police car and have two open containers.

Wrong. MADD pulls the puppet strings of prosecutors. They don't plea bargain and the only way to avoid conviction is to refuse the breathalyzer so there is no physical evidence in which case you automatically lose your license for 1 year. Still better than having a DUI which is like a scarlet letter to employers.

I have worked at Mickey D’s and it isn’t so bad, and neither will be Culver’s. You put yourself into this mess, you work your way out. Very simple. Here’s my advice: do exactly as you’re told. Don’t think, and in particular don’t think you know better. Don’t socialize, but be nice and friendly to anyone when they’re friendly with you. Be into books publicly, excuse yourself to read a book any chance you can get. And actually read the book, be ready to explain it, and give your books away immediately to anyone who shows any interest.

If you do this you are invincible, not just for this job but all others like it.

Good luck.

Typically for first timers it's court supervision. Which means drug & alcohol counseling, lots of court fees, all kinds of shit shit. But a conviction itself is really bad. Say goodbye to ever going to Canada (which I could care less about, but I have family there.)

You'll be fine. Assuming you're in Wisconsin there are people with 7 DUI's and yet they still have a car and job to fuel their booze addiction.

Bullshit or op is retarded. If you have a job they always give a hardship liscence to get to work and will install, at your cost, a breathalyzer in it.

I got three from 2008-2011 but I spread the love out in three different states and the dumbshit national state reporting laws that are suppose to aware other states when you've done this in other places failed spectacularly because none of the three had a clue about the others at any point
