Can you make this with hot milk instead of water? I don't like how thin the cheesy "broth" is when you make them with water.

You can't but I'd 75/25 it with water/cream

So is this like, super cheap mac and cheese?

Not really, it's flat noodles in a cheese broth. No macaroni.

Splitting hairs with the noodles. I like shells and cheese. The "broth" is very thin though? Meh, maybe I'll grab one out of curiosity.

They should just add more cheese though, one year Wisconsin overproduced cheddar to the point where they used powdered to "salt" some of the roads.

It's like all the other ramens, only the dust is cheese flavored, it's much more of a soup than being similar to mac n cheese

Personally, I just cook as directed but throw in a few pinches of shredded cheese to thicken it up

the powder has that vaguely sweet milk powder taste to it that kraft dinner seasoning has. it's not gross nevessarily, it just tastes a little off as a broth when you're used to it in a milk-and-butter based cheese sauce
