You are not so retarded that you cannot make popcorn on the stove, right?
What is your recipe? Your tricks?

>Spoon full of coconut oil
>table spoon of butter
>heat up until the one kernel you tossed in pops
>put in the other 1/3 cup kernels
>stir, cover, and let heat
>Corn starts popping
>wait until you only hear one a second and take it off the heat
>Remove lid, to let steam escape
>pour out a bit of popcorn into a bowl and salt it
>pour a bit more, salt a bit more
>repeat until all popcorn is in the bowl and salted

There. That's how you make popcorn on the stove. If you're retarded and need to be told every little thing: make sure you use a pot big enough to let the corn move around so the kernels always fall to the bottom of the pot and don't get stuck crammed in the middle.

Thx, you seem like a good goy!

I use one of those campfire pothandle thingies, I clamp it down onto a metal mixing bowl that I've added kernels and oil to then I wrap the top shot with foil and onto the fire it goes.
Pop. Shake. Pop. Shake. Pop. Shake. Until I hear no more popping. The results're better than microwave (none are burnt and none are unpopped) even if it's far less convenient.

Once it's popped, I
>spray it with butter flavoured nonstick spray
I know, I know. But srsly, I like it better than actual butter.
Anyway, I spray, sprinkle salt and toss, spray, sprinkle salt and toss, spray, sprinkle salt and toss until all the popcorn seems adequately butter-sprayed and salted.
Is good.

Butter burns though. Admittedly I never tried coconut oil and butter. After fucking up a couple pots trying to do it with butter, I just use coconut oil and pour the butter on after.

I used to work the snack bar at a movie theater. The trick to good popcorn, in my opinion, is to cook it on the longer side and add a fuckton of salt and seasoning. I fucking hate those liquid butter dispensers with a passion.

I can, but I don't because popcorn gets stuck on my teeth and doesn't have any flavour.

Put some oil on a pan, add the corn grains or whatever they are, some salt or sugar if you want it caramel pop, then put the lid on and keep moving the pan in a circular way on a low heat until it's done.

I like air popped. I actually got my popper for oasting coffee since I don't drink it frequently enough to finish a pound before it goes stale. I later learned I like popcorn when not painfully salty.

If you want to take it up a notch, try browning or clarifying the butter first. Both will make the popcorn less soggy than normal melted butter, and browned butter will actually improve the taste.

I do mine two ways. My favorite is to use clarified butter as the oil, then I'll add like 1/4 teaspoon of white truffle oil to the butter I'm gonna put on top. The other way I make it is by popping the corn in bacon grease and adding some powdered cheddar after it's done. Wa la

I'm 32 and, honestly, I just cooked popcorn on the stove for the first time a few weeks ago. It's easy enough, but I can't quite do kettle corn without burning the sugar.

That's why I never was introduced to cooking it on the stove. Parents always had an air cooker, so I bought an air cooker. Repeating the sins of the father.

I remember trying this as a kid.
Burned the shit out of it.

But isn't the microwave much easier?
