I quit smoking regularly years ago, but every time I smell someone else's smoke I miss smoking. Not because I actually enjoyed it (I think stale cigarette smells fucking awful), but because it was invigorating.

I managed a cigar store for years and can make good recommendations. I'm assuming you don't smoke them too often and that you live in the States, so you can't have a Cuban...sooo...

My top recommendation for a smooth smoke with character is Avo Classic #2. It's not as expensive as Davidoff but has far better flavor and aroma than Ashton, Montecristo, Macanudo. Cleaner finish than Fuente. If you want something more robust and full, Padron Anniversario 1964 Maduro are delightful. Pepper, chocolate, cedar.

A.Fuente hemingway short story. Its the cigar that got me into cigars. I've also never had anything bad from Rocky Patel. These are mid range/priced cigars so they won't break your wallet.

I really like Punch cigars, they're usually shorter so they only last like 40-50 minutes. Oliva Series V are also good, as are La Aurora cigars. Love them with Scotch- the harsher flavors in each cancel each other out so you get different flavors in both of them. Cheap tobacco tastes like cardboard, good tobacco has very many flavors but you have to smoke it properly to taste anything.

I smoke a cigar about twice a month, love me some tatuaje cigars. Last year, I purchased a box of their limited edition Halloween cigars. Love how they taste.
