Eating partially cooked ground beef is dangerous. I wouldn’t do it.

Anyway, I’m not American so I rarely eat burgers, but it would be well done

How often do you eat burgers bros? On average I probably eat 6+ patties a week. Note that most of these are without a bun.

raw ground beef is reasonably safe to eat if you live in a first world country and you buy your meat from a reputable seller, as long as it's minced shortly before consumption.
if you want to be extra safe, just trim all the exterior parts and use them in another recipe that you are supposed to cook.

When you cook a steak, the bacteria on the outside will generally be killed. If you grind it up and cook it only medium well, some bacteria may still remain and the hamburger may not be safe.

That said, I greatly prefer medium well to well done hamburgers.

I kept saying it in the last few weeks because apparently few people around here knows or understand, but do not eat raw or undercooked ground meat you bought at the store, it's like a fucking petri dish that has been cultivating for a few days.
