Remember that cysticercosis is a second stage infection. You don't get it from eating raw or under-cooked pork.

When you eat the raw or under-cooked pork, you get taeniasis and will be shedding tapeworm eggs in your feces. In most cases, there aren't much in the way of symptoms and you might not know it.

If, because of improper sanitation, you are someone else swallows the tapeworm eggs that you crapped out, they can then get the cysticerci in parts of their body. This is particularly dangerous if some of the cysticerci end up in the brain.

So if you are eating at a restaurant and he prepared your food after taking a crap (or scratching his rear end) without washing his hands afterwards, you could be in deep trouble.
