I'm gonna have to live off of rice or rice for a weak, anyone know any tips to spice it up? I have half a small bottle of pesto, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and curry.

Lowered expectations is the best spice. Good luck.

Crack an egg in it, cook it in stock and with vegetables, make double and fry the leftovers the next day.

Hunger is the best appetizer. I've been deep in your shoes in the past. Add some soy sauce. A few dashes of your vinegar might be ok. Curry over rice is staple for a billion or so poo-in-loos. I made a poverty casserole once consisting of a few cups of cooked rice, a can of tuna, and some soy sauce. Wasn't awful.

Ann Curry is sort of related.

Thanks, chicken might blow my budget, but I should be able to find some veggies tomorrow.

Thanks, it's a nice thought, but I'd rather have this be a lesson in watching my damned budget.

Buy beans, not in tin but dried ones you have to soak first. They are cheap af.

Onions and garlic are dirt cheap. Sautee your rice in olive oil with aromatics before you add the water, then use your spice rack to finish it off before you eat. Also, listen to >>13269863 the bean guy, together they provide a complete source of protein and they'll help break up the monotony.

Tomorrow if you work well you may have a tea spoon of honey in your rice

Plov with just onion, garlic, grated carrot, and a bit of cumin is fucking delicious.
