It's aloe. You can buy it at Publix for some reason. The goo inside the leaves heals sunburns and nettle settings and stuff like that. It grows like a weed in sunny places in Florida if you plant it. My yard when I was a kid had a different type, probably Aloe barbadensis, but it was similar, just smaller.
