Many people do actively enjoy bitter foods. IPA's are good because they've got a nice citrusy vibe to them, like grapefruit juice without sugar.

I had a grilled chicken breast and sautéed spinach, a couple carrots, toasted pumpkin seeds, some dark chocolate, and a cup of coffee. A simple, happy day.

>> No.13243992

It's surprisingly carefree. You tell yourself yesterday is gone, tomorrow is its own thing, but today you did your best.

I ate my first attempt at omurice
it was pretty good tasting. Didn't get the omelette quite right because of a lack of nonstick pan

>> No.13244288

>>13244263
Yeah I wanted to remove it from the pan but then realized it was stuck, managed to get it out in one piece by putting a plate on the pan and turning it upside down. Omelette was a little too done but still tasted nice.
Had some leftover rice from the other day and fried it with some ham, red paprika, mushrooms and some ketchup

I tried to make Kraft macaroni and cheese with peas today. I pulled the peas out of the freezer and they were a solid pea boulder. Threw them into the microwave for 30 seconds to defrost a little so I could break them apart. 5 seconds in the plastic bag literally bursts into flames. Plastic melted into the peas.

So, I ate plain old Kraft macaroni and cheese.

I thought IPAs were a meme too for a long time. I used to think I hated beer until I found a beer I liked (Guinness) and from there I started trying new beers until I found ones I liked (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale). Pale Ales are my favorites still but I really like IPAs.

TLDR: Force yourself to drink IPAs every now and then. The flavor really does grow on you

In the future, smack the bag of frozen peas against the counter if there are big chunks in it. I really don't understand why your response was to put it in the microwave.
