I used to eat my oatmeal with a lot of brown sugar and/or maple syrup. Now I just eat pic related with salt. Sometimes I add dried berries. It's also good sweetened, but it's so good plain that I never mess around with it.

What I eat everyday: 200g of oats, 400ml of milk and 60g of chocolate protein powder. Leave it for 1 hour for the oats to absorb the milk and soften, and Wala. 85 grams of protein and it tastes pretty good, haven't gotten tired of it yet in like a month

>> No.13192823

My go-to is blueberries, chia seeds, and a little bit of honey. If I'm out of blueberries I'll play around with what I do have. My favorite thing to come out of that was banana, chia seeds, almond butter, and like a teaspoon of chocolate syrup - just enough to give it a little chocolate flavor. Maybe better with cocoa powder but I don't general have that because I don't bake

>> No.13192831

Right after you pull it out of the pot or microwave, while it's still hot, add a half tablespoon of honey, and a handful of blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. Mix it up then add a little bit of milk to cool it.

Shit's bomb

I can't believe I lived most of my life without knowing this, but just add a banana. You can add some honey/brown sugar with some cinnamon, but the banana is key. Add the banana at the same time as the oats and that shit tastes like fucking banana bread.

Depends on what direction you want to take it. I’ve recently been a fan of less sweet, more savory oatmeal. I’ve used turmeric, basil, and sweet potato before and it was pretty tasty.
Also, if savory is something you like, try changing the medium you cook the oatmeal in. Chicken or beef broth makes it tasty, milk makes it creamier, etc.
