It's an anonymous message board, nobody has to defend anything.

So can we all, as adults, just admit that beer tastes bad? There's no "good beer" only "good for a beer". If beer didn't get you drunk, nobody would drink it. If it weren't unmanly everyone would just drink cider or wine coolers or something. It got this far on inebriation and tradition and otherwise wouldn't exist anymore.

If beer tasted good, non alcoholic beer would be a lot more popular. You'd get them if you were the DD, or just out for lunch at a restaurant on break from work instead of a soda.

Devices like the beer bong were invented so you could drink beer as fast as possible, so you can enjoy being drunk without having to spend so much time tasting them. There's an entire genre of party game where your punishment for failure is drinking more beer.

Look lady, if you don't like beer then you don't like beer. That's all there is too it. You don't have to shit post on /ck/. If it comes up, say "beer is not my thing" and you move on. there is one really good beer. its the red ale at Triple Rock Brewery in Berkeley, California. made on the spot of course. a light tangy taste, very refreshing. i like all sort of beers, including guinness and wheat beer, IPA, oatmeal stout, chimay, you name it, but for really really nice taste, very drinkable, something like their red ale is the best. dont give up until youve tried a reddish midrange beer from a brewpub. firestone ale made on a lot like it once. i think the flavor doesnt last long in a bottle, so its not a commercial flavor.
