how many miles have you ran this week?

>> No.13166343

this is why you do one cheat meal per week
eventually you realize that it's never worth it once you're done with it
and then you just do moderate cheat meals where it's not about how many calories of junk you can consume in one sitting

it's fine so long as it isn't a daily thing. don't be too hard on yourself but at the same time don't excuse it every time either.

Welcome to real life. I'm in my physics masters and the only thing that keeps me sane is video games, alcohol and DUDE.

Life is boring, even with a gf

it's best not to. it depends on how disciplined you want to be. i have been in the gym for 20 years, and have competed in my state for powerlifting. when i become eligible in a couple years, i can beat state records in a couple federations for the old farts. it's a glorified hobby so i'm not trying to say i'm some kind of beast, but in my little state, i can beat a few records easily.
i have gone from 230 to 165 in six months with strict keto. and that was before it was a meme. keto diets have been around since arnold was winning the olympia.
i believe overall it is best to heavily-limit carbs just for health but most people don't think about the word "diet" as a long-term thing and that's probably a mistake
the problem with a cheat meal for me is that i don't have the willpower to keep my cheating in check. i get more satisfaction being militant and focused on what i eat and what i don't
i am mentally-ill with body dysmorphia
>>13166451
this is how a lot of people think. the problem is mental. a lot of people genuinely think this way

he is dead-right for the first bit in that diet is your diet. it's what you eat and what you don't. it's not calorie restriction or trying to lose bodyfat in a certain timeframe
he is dead wrong that health (and the way you look for that matter) is more about physical exercise than it is about diet. i would actually flip those numbers. and i think most people with knowledge and experience would agree

You can eat like a mentally handicapped five year old, but so long as you're extremely active you can be fit, have good mental clarity and even happiness. Exercise lowers cellular insulin resistance and stabilizes your blood sugar, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. You know I'm right.

That's if you work out. On the flip side, if you don't work out at all, you're forced to eat like Gandhi—unless you want to start gaining weight and feel like shit. And even Gandhi walked almost every day.

Well theres the problem, you still have mommy and daddy sending you to school with Lunchables and chocolate milk.

But in all seriousness stop pretending not to be fat af, or at least know what you are talking about

hey I'm not saying diet isn't important, but exercise is important too. I'm talking health here still, not losing weight, and by the way I'm 135 lbs.
But this is /ck/ and not /sci/ so I'm not surprised that you have no idea how burning energy works. Have fun swimming in fat and ignorance I guess. when you're ready to accept that exercise is important, I'll be here anon
