Back when I was still in university everyone liked Del Taco better, but I think that was because of its artificial scarcity where you could get Taco Bell at any of the hundred locations all around but Del Taco was just in this one spot kind of removed a bit from campus. Also they had the green sauce option for items which made them seem fancier.

Taco Bell has meme food like Doritos tacos and Crunchwrap Supremes which are good, but Del Taco has a better value menu- chicken soft taco's, chorizo tacos, dollar ice coffee, churros, bean cheese burritos etc. it taste's "cleaner" than Taco Bell
