Is it true that if you pull up to a Wendy's drive-thru , say you're lost, and ask for directions or say that you're from out of town that it's restaurant for the employees to serve you a free meal as a courtesy? I saw someone claiming to be a Wendy's employee claiming that was the case on reddit. Just wanted to check with you co/ck/'s to see if this is true or not.

Anybody here ever work at a Wendy's?

That's actually a Dave Thomas (founder of Wendy's) thing. He felt it made our burgers unique and the patties line up with the cheese slices too. Really all burgers should be square if you're going to put cheese on it, unless you want to make round cheese slices instead.

I've had my conspiracy theories, but if you're legit, can you confirm that any customer that orders a Dave's Single with a free coupon gets a lesser version of it? I've had the burger over and over, and each time it was lower quality, as I only bought it with a coupon that gave it to me for free with any purchase. Do Wendy's managers dictate a lower quality burger (using heater patties vs. fresh) for anyone using a coupon?

Not at all. It makes no difference to the chef whether you're paying with a coupon or not. In fact, they likely won't even know unless the chefs have headsets which ive never seen, but I dont want to say it's impossible.
The single isnt the best because for whatever reason some people will fucking dump ketchup on the burgers. If you want a good one, ask for only a little sauce.
Now that being said, you may have a restaurant where a manager implemented some bullshit policies. For example I live right by a McDonald's that REFUSES deals on their app. Any time you go in to get an app deal, whoever is working will say the machine is broken. Ill ask them if they can use the next register, and I shit you not they will point blank say they're all broken. This has been going on for fucking years so i don't go to that one anymore

No clue since I don't work there, but I do love the filet of fish sandwich and get those frequently. What I can say is that some redditfag posted some shit about how they sit under heat lamps all day because no one buys them, and now that post is blogged all over the internet by retards claiming they're "in the know," because they have an inside source, but I've honestly never had a cold or warm one. They are always decent.
If you're worried about it having sat out too long, just ask if they can make you a fresh one, or if you don't want to look like a faggot, just order one without cheese since that would require them to make a fresh one, but I don't think I've ever even noticed cheese on the ones I've had even though it's there
