what you cooking for dinner /ck/ ?
i just started making chicken and dumplings. put a whole chicken with the neck and heart in my pressure cooker with onion, celery, carrots and garlic.
MIGHT throw in a couple of parm rinds i have in the fridge for flavor later. can't decide if i want to save that for marinara though.

I really dont cook much but I cooked some canned chicken and mixed it with a can of green beans with salt, pepper, and a little butter. Tastes pretty good. Not sure what id call it though. College cooking eh

>> No.13138997

and added the noodles and chicken back to the strained stock. the noodles still need like 15 minutes and the chicken will break down further. also in the last 10 minutes im adding some milk and flour for thickener.

Made spinach stew/soup/sauce (idk how the fuck to translate it into English) with a cut up hardboiled egg and boiled potato.
Tojásos spenótfőzelék krumplival.

When I was at university, I used to cook spicy vegetable paprika soup with tortellini in the microwave. Basically Hungarian take on minestrone but literally Italian tomato and vegetable soup. Olasz paradicsomos zöldségleves.
Takes all of 15 minutes or so to make, IIRC, + 2 minutes or so of vegetable chopping. Maybe longer if you've got shit knife skills. Carrot, celery, onion, tomato juice, water, stock cube (shut up), oil (or lard), sweet paprika and strong paprika. Chop. Combine. Nuke 10 minutes. Add fresh (or frozen) tortellini. Nuke 4 more minutes. Consume. Goes especially well with ham-and-cheese tortellini but mushroom-and-cheese ones are good, too, if you're a vegetarian. If you're vegan, idk wtf sort of tortellini to use. Maybe you'd be SOL.

that looks absolutely delicious.

i finished up my chicken and dumplings. this is after adding milk, flour, butter, and half and half because i ran out of milk.
i also let it run at a rolling boil with the chicken in it to break it down into small bits that go throughout the entire dish.

bone apple teeth.
it's not the prettiest thing but the long cooking time and fatty flavors mean it's pretty delicious.

At least you didn't use canned biscuits or semolina pasta like I've seen before.

where I come from, this is a dumpling. it's dough stuffed with ground meat, vegetables, or any number of things. a noodle is just the dough.
