Mine is overnight oats.

Thought it was just a zoomer meme but overnight oats are amazing. Oats, Milk, sugar, vanilla. Put it in a jar and shake it. Leave overnight in fridge.

I put water in it and let it sit for 15 minutes (muesli). I usually eat a fruit with it for the sugar

I like using pre-chopped dates.

Usually they are shit compared to whole because they are dried out and coated in sugar. HOWEVER, when you put them in overnight oats, they reconstitute and all the sugar dissolves into the oatmeal. I don't even add honey.

Half a mashed banana is also good. It really permeates the oatmeal, if you like bananas.

Stir it in with yogurt, typically adding either nuts, berries, or honey to make a nice balanced breakfast.

no one said anything about activating it. It is just a way to prepare them.

When I soak my oats overnight I use almond milk and throw in some chopped dates, appricotts and almonds. It's bomb.

I soak mine in almond milk and peanut butter overnight in a glass Tupperware and then put honey on them in the morning. If I have bananas I'll chop one up with my spoon and mix it in.
It's way better than having to make a pot dirty and cook them, I like them cold.

Add hot water to oats, let them soak in for a bit, then add other stuff like peanut butter and raisins.

I started the thread and said I like cold overnight oats but another fucking great way is.

Boil oats with water per usual
Put a ton of yogurt intop and also a ton of maple syrup. The hot and cold combo is a winner.

A very small pinch of salt and a drop or three of honey is great in some oats.

Anyone know a good replacement for milk in cereal actually exists. Almond "milk" etc are a joke. I don't know how anybody spends they're money on that stuff.

Oats have massive amounts of phytates. You should soak them overnight in a massive amount of water, then drain them in a mesh strainer, rinse, and then you can make overnight oats or cook them or whatever.

Not even that guy, but if you soak them or cook them you make them softer. Raw grain or grass does that to teeth since it's tough, since you need to grind the grain by chewing. You try eating a diet of raw grass or grain of any kind and see what it does

I really like steel cut oats for the texture, but it's not as weekday breakfast since they take so long to cook. I kinda wanna try overnight oats now.

For weekdays I make quick oats, and I usually do cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and half a mashed banana. Sometimes I add a little bit of chocolate chips if I'm feeling like a fatass, it complements the banana so well

Ooh that’s a good idea. Those little date turds are also great for sauces and chutneys.
