—I mean, you do bake your own bread, right?

I don't eat bread. If I want relatively empty carbs I make couscous or pancakes.

I made garlic-coriander naan yesterday to go with indian curry, but normally I don't bake a lot of bread. I just buy it from the bakery down the street; very tasty, a lot less work.

I made some pumpkin bread a couple weeks ago, came out great.
I usually don't eat bread, so I don't bake it. There's no point if I'm only going to eat a couple slices before it goes stale.

My dad baked his own bread for a while, that was awful, never had enough constitution to be thinly sliced. The one thing he made well was banana bread which was better in half cake form.

I’m not that good at baking bread. I just know what good bread is supposed to look like. The posters above probably didn’t steam their ovens in any way hence the pale, sad looking crusts and flat rise

I made a bunch of hummus a few days ago and didn't feel like going to the store to buy flatbread to make a hummus plate so I made some flatbread. I was out of all-purpose flour and tried to use whole wheat instead and they turned out pretty awful.

Last thing I baked was a pecan and brown sugar crusted banana bread seasoned with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and allspice. It turned out pretty damn good. No pictures right now unfortunately. Been a little while since I baked any yeast bread.

Made the same thing recently but with walnuts instead of almonds. Can't really put it in the same category as yeast bread, it's definitely a dessert.
Still absolutely delicious.
