Does anybody know what i should do for an old timey goose dinner for Christmas?

We're going to bake it the normal way in a gas oven and pair it with a ham
But ive got no clue what sides to go with and i need to come up with 2, same with appetizers except ive decided on bruschetta since we grow everything we need for it in our garden

Dessert is going to be cheesecake and we'll have a salad between appetizers to cleanse palates

Drinks are going to be homemade eggnog, spiced mulled wine, and butterbeer.

The plan is to feed 4-7 adults and 1 child so im asking for any help coming up with the menu at this point and i don't know any place that's able to help aside from this board

I've never cooked a goose before, but that image is triggering me. Also, HONK!

>it's just the one goose actually
I don't need any help with the bird though, it's building the rest of the menu that's getting me

I want it to be "historic," very old school, but still good, so things like mincemeat pies are out because everyone's a pussy and won't eat it

British, American, German
Old world or new world doesn't matter as long as it's good

Can't go wrong with a nice homemade cranberry sauce.
