Ever just have a Hamburger instead of a Cheeseburger?

Sometimes.
Not much point though.

Yes. This was more common when I was young. I am old enough to remember when a quarter pounder at mcdonalds was a quarter pounder, and you had to specify (and possibly have your parent pay extra) if you wanted a quarter pounder with cheese.

Every now and then I make myself a hamburger.

All the time. American cheese is vile. I also feel cheese on a burger is weird and wouldn't like it even if it was real cheese.

No. But i like a burger without cheese within certain constructs. Seems more at it's roots. Cheese is something that's always implied. The meat should be the star of the show.

Yeah. Gotta test it to make sure I'm being objective. Turns out I was, cheese is an objective improvement to a burger, whichever kind you want to go with: Blue, cheddar, swiss, whatever you like, they always add something and improve the resulting meal.

Waste of a bun. The purpose of bread is to be a vehicle for your meats and cheeses and sauces.
Why would you simply put a meatsteak on a bun and call it a finished product? You're gonna need a sauce on that meatsteak to add flavor and fats and moisture at the very least.

Lettuce doesn't even count since it has zero nutritional value and almost no taste. It is effectively just water. The tomato adds flavor and moisture but that's about as bland as bland gets. Would you eat a meatsteak topped with a slice of tomato as-is on a plate? You fucking barbarian.

Cheese adds fat to meat, if you're not using it you better be using mayo or an oil based sauce.

If a hamburger still a hamburger when there is no ham then why is a cheeseburger never a cheeseburger when there is no cheese?
