What does hummus taste like? Is it salty, sweet etc?

>> No.13088150

Tastes like lemony, slightly salty bean paste with a hint of nuttiness. I like it garnished with extra virgin olive oil and paprika. I enjoy it the most with flatbread

>> No.13088152

It's pretty good. You should make some. Get some chickpeas, tahini, lemon, garlic, sundried tomatoes, and some rice crackers or some shit.

Pretty much. I’m a shut in and picky.

It’s much better with chickpeas instead of garbanzos.

eat it with deep fried liver. liver has to be cut into small cubes and barely covered with flour. excess flour makes it taste bad.

No, bro. Bread goes best with hummus.

Humus is made from chick pee right?

>> No.13089162

It's one of those 'last supper' kind of dips. I'd lose it if I knew I wouldn't have hummus with pita chips again before I die. It's the perfect, tastiest snack.

i like hummus, not a big fan of the red pepper version. i like the pine nut and garlic kind. i saw one at the store that was full on mixed with chocolate and i’m curious. didn’t purchase but reminded me of mashing avocados with sugar, chocolate etc.

It is creamy with sort of a rough texture and savory flavor. Goes great with chips, or some sort of base food.

The "Supremely Spicy" Hummus from Sabra is not very spicy at all. One of Sabra's versions has Jalapeno's. That one is more spicy than their "Supremely Spicy" hummus.

The very first time I ever tried hummus was at a Lebanese/Mediterranean restaurant. They served their hummus with jalapeno in the center.

This is why my favorite flavor of Sabra hummus is the jalapeno-flavored hummus.

Nope, ask any endocrinologist about the glycemic index of chickpeas and, especially, hummus, and educate yourself. You are unlikely to emerge from the current realm of absolute idiocy which you inhabit, but who knows?

Chickpeas have a low glycemic index (~30). The glycemic index of hummus is expected to be even lower considering that it contains tahini paste & olive oil, both of which are significantly high fat-content foods.

You're fucking dumb.
