Now that had me thinking. Only reason they do free giveaways and are generally cheaper than your average supermarket is that they don't hire baggers, you got to bag them yourself.

I like that the meat, fruit and veg is often local whereas other supermarkets usually put a premium on Scottish stuff. Free range meat cheaper than everywhere else. Also, the wine is excellent

Product range could be improved though, they often don’t have basic things like tinned butter beans.

I go for produce and dry beans sometimes. Last time I got four watermelons, I made the mistake of eating the seedless three first, and woke up to the seeded hissing and leaking on the counter. The corruption had spread all the way through. Seeded has a shorter shelf life due to its greater sugar content. Seedless melons are only good when they're mature enough to have some seeds.

I loved food 4 less growing up but once I hit my teenage years they closed down in my city. I don't know how they closed because it was just food 4 less, albertsons, walmart, smiths. They were all apart from each other too. Albertsons and Food 4 less closed while Smiths and Walmart stayed opened. Which doesn't make sense since Food 4 less literally had the cheapest prices. I'm guessing employees were stealing or something.

Yeah it's weird they both closed down. Both were close to my house too. I remember as a kid growing up my mom would take us walking to the store and walk back since we didn't own a car. After they both closed down I wondered were people in the neighborhood were shopping now since the closest things were walmart and smiths but their prices were on the pricey side compared to the other two. Now I mostly shop at Winco since my family has a car and we can drive to that place. It's the cheapest place to get food in the area but doesn't have that much variety on cuts of meat.

Aldi is where I do most grocery shopping but Woodman's is also good for stuff. They have better prices on vegetables and a bigger selection. I like that they're open 24 hours, going grocery shopping at 1 am and having the entire store to myself will probably always be kinda fun.

They remind me a bit of the old Pick n' Save stores before they remodeled into that faux upscale pastel color design. The Pick n Save by me used to be this somewhat run down place but it was nice with the video rental section and gigantic institutional food aisle. I'd go shopping late there too.

Easily the chad of grocery shopping. If my Costco store stocked all the specific spices I use for cooking, I would never shop anywhere else. I use Frazier Farms to buy sacks of spices in bulk and when doing Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner shopping, but that's it.

Aside from food, Wegmans big black garbage bags are fantastic. They're lile twice as thick as the mil rating on the box says, I used a bunch cleaning out a house and would pack forty pounds of shit into one bag and it would barely even stretch.

Closest near me is about 50mins away which is a shame. Loved it in Norco, Costco near me is full of hicks and spics because they come up from the more rural parts. Foods 4 Less is nice but usually also full of spics and super super white trash garbage and they all struggle with self checkout. Grocery Outlet is my go-to since it’s a 2 minute walk from work and usually just has old people by the time I go on my lunch break.
