the ketchup they allegedly use for currywurst is a lot less sweet than Heinz, more tomato forward with a slight spicyness. Honestly it's pretty good. It probably shouldn't be a source of national pride, but it's a lot better than if you imagine that picture with american ketchup

In Germany or ethnic food stores that cater to eastern europeans it should be plentiful and dirt cheap. I can get a cheap 800ml glas for about 0,60€ or if I want a reasonable quality 2€-3€.

It pretty much lasts forever shouldn't it be available almost anywhere? I remember a camping trip to Norway. Pretty much any store had it.
