Is it possible for me to cook these through just baking them? They're bacon wrapped chicken breasts, 2oz a piece. The recipe said to pan sear them but I can't do that for now.

>> No.13037863

Yes. Make sure to turn them at least once while baking.

In the oven? Yeah that's fine.

Absolutely.
Maybe you'll want to finish them for a minute under the broiler for a little crisp but you can definitely cook them entirely in the oven.
I made something similar with a duckbreast a while ago and didn't bother browning it in a pan first.

Turned out fine. And this a toaster oven, not a proper one.

How long should i have them in for? And should I put in water/seasonings?

You can throw some vegetables and herbs in there. I didn't add any liquid to mine, but if I'd made it on a rack instead of in a pot I'd probably have put a tray with a little water underneath it both to catch the drippings and to get a nice moist environment in the oven.
I can't help you with temperatures or times. I never really pay attention to either since I'm around to keep an eye on the meat all the time anyway.
This could have been a little more pink in the middle, to be honest. I don't remember, but I suspect I gave it longer than it needed to crisp up the bacon.
The timestamp on the photos suggests I gave it a little over an hour. Probably around somewhere in between 140 and 180 degrees C, but probably also adjusting as I saw fit.

Oh, and a duckbreast is probably a little bigger than one from a chicken. I have a meat thermometer I never use, but if you're new to making roasts in the oven it might be a good investment of five dollars until you develop a feel for it.

No water. Put them until the chicken is done with a thermometer I think chicken is 70-75C. Cant really tell you how long that takes maybe 25m if you dont have one just touch it. Seasoning is fine. Bacon is salty already so not too much maybe some pepper and herbs like the guy above. Broiler at the end if you want.

Season the chicken before wrapping it with bacon. By the way my guess is that some of these are more than 2 ounces. 25 to 30 min at 325 fahrenheit should be good. The bacon will protect the chicken from drying out. Hope you enjoy!

Yes. Oven @ 400F for 25 minutes

bacon wrapped?!

How did they turn out? What time and temp did you settle on?

Nice culinary ignorance, loser, this kind of bacon-wrapping isn't a meme.
