When I was in college I would spend all my money on weed and with the last 10 bucks I would make a veggie meal which will last me the week.

10 bucks is 20 canned meals which would probably be healthier than just veggies.

Burrito bowls, you can freeze the base meat mix too to make things quicker and easier. I mix homemade taco spice mix, ground beef, canned green chiles, corn, and beans. Then I make up a bunch of rice and whatever vegetables are cheap. Curry and rice with cheap frozen veggies is good too. If you have an Asian grocery you can get very cheap bulk rice.
Get discount cards for whatever grocery store you use and load coupons online. Or go to Aldi if you have one in your area, just double check any fresh veggies before you buy.

I Really loved a gochujang flavored dish I had out. I wanted to try cooking with it, but can't seem to find paste anywhere even asian stores (inability to read moonrune means I might just be missing it). I've seen gochujang sauce bottles all over, can I use that instead for anything?

OP, grab 80% beef on sale, shredded cheese (cheddar or something Mexical), tomatoes, and taco shells/tortilla chips. Cook beef (I like ti add an onion before the beef and cook it a bit too) and add a shitload if salt, red/cayenne pepper, chili powder. Add a bit of cumin, but don't go overboard on it. Easy nachos/tacos, store meat and reheat throughout the week.

Mix brown rice, canned beans, canned tomatoes+chilis, shredded cheese, and spicy ground turkey/beef together in tupperware containers. Freeze half of it, and spoon the rest out into burritos whenever you want. It's homemade taco bell.

buy eggs
Hardboil them
peel them
put eggs in big deep bowl
salt pepper franks red hot
other spices garlic,
get a syringe and inject some of these spices mixed in with the red hot
you can try malt vinegar, or some soy.
the cool thing is that you can try eggs individually.

This. My Monday through Thursday meal each week. I season with JO blackened seasoning. Broccoli or sauteed green beans with butter and garlic. Mashed potatoes with a jar of heinz chicken gravy. Probably too much to manage in a dorm room though. Instapot meals are OPs best bet.

the real deal gochujang comes in these heavy little plastic blocks like bricks, and your best bet would be hitting up a korean grocery store like h-mart and checking the sauce aisle. it's shelf stable until opened then u gotta keep it in the fridge but it basically lasts forever
seems like lots of the "gochujang sauce" i've found from a quick google search also comes with a ton of other seasonings and additives, whereas actual gochujang itself is just simpled fermented chili. i suppose it wouldn't hurt as a condiment but you'd definitely want the real deal for cooking, especially since real gochujang has a thick pasty texture rather than a saucy one
