Yes, but since the bottles just need cleaning whereas the cans need melting and remaking I'd guess the bottles are the greener choice.
I usually buy bottles because the beer tends to be cheaper in those, even when it's the same beer, and I kinda feel like it gets colder or at least stays colder in a glass bottle.
They're a hassle to carry home if you're walking, though.
