Isn't the total weight of all bugs on the planet higher than all other animals combined ?

No

Probably but there are too many other factors that will prevent it from ever being widely accepted in a lot of countries. I'd rather have lab-grown meat anyway.

What set /pol/ off with "EAT BUGS" shit anyway? I checked the catalog there and the same threads are being made.

They discovered that cricket flour was a thing and for some reason thought it was a communist conspiracy.

It is in the interests of people who want to grow the population to 10billion (not whites of course, with immigrants) and being able to feed those 10 billion people with food that is easier to mass produce. ie: not beef.

You clearly have very little understanding of the issue.

It's always hilarious when some billionaire flying around in a private jet or sailing on a giant yacht says other people need to stop eating meat because of the environment. But did anything specific actually start this "EAT BUGS" posting or is it just the latest thing they've latched onto?

I suppose people are just noticing that bug-eating has been pushed more and more lately, especially alongside the climate change scare, and beef farmers being demonized. Farmers in the netherlands have been striking because the government is attacking their livelihood to 'save the planet'.

not a fan of eating bugs but seeing farmers, especially beef farmers, getting fucked over is quite frankly hilarious.
