I went to the subway by my university campus last month because I was starving and hungry and it was the only place open.

There was a pretty long line and the way this subway was set up i was able to keep a close eye on what the people in front of me were ordering. The dude in front of me ordered a ham sandwich. The sandwich artist had their manager, a middle-aged asian lady, breathing down their neck the entire time they were crafting this ham sandwich. The sandwich artist put veggies on the sandwich, then cheese, then finally the meat. Everything seemed normal until the asian lady put her hand on the sandwich artist's arm and he suddenly tensed up. the asian lady whispered something into his ear, and the sandwich artist very slowly took two slices of ham off of the sandwich and put them back into the meat bin. The whole thing creeped me out and i really wonder why the manager thought that was something she should do right in full view of the customer who was buying the sandwich.
