Are egg salad sandwiches acceptable for a work potluck?
Any favorite recipes?

I would be thankful for egg salad at a potluck, but I can't say the same for everyone

Just don't put sweet relish in it, fucks sake.
Love egg salad though.

My mum puts curry powder in it...it's good

No. Bread could get soggy. Also it's hard to trust someone else making it 'correctly'. If I were to see a egg salad sandwich at a potluck I would pass.

Did they make these last night. How long have they been setting out. Did they overcook the eggs. Did they use mayo or use something else.

Too many questions so I would take a pass on it.

To be fair, these points are valid for any homecooked meal brought to a potluck.
Is their kitchen clean? Their pans and hands? Etc.

Make deviled eggs instead and avoid the strange looks.

I would consider egg salad to spoil too quickly for it to be a good potluck food where it's probably going to be sitting out for a while. Though it would depend on the specifics. It might be better to bring tge mixed up salad in a container that can have an ice pack under it and then slices of bread for fixings depending if people like something else on it like pickle, cress or whatever.

Idk about egg salad sandwiches, I would probably pass them up. Though I do have a good crowd-pleaser of a peanut butter cookie recipe, just make sure none of your coworkers are allergic. It's just 1 egg, 1 cup of peanut butter, 1 cup of sugar, mix together and bake at 350 for 10 or 15 minutes. People love em every time.

I eat mayonnaise based foods at potlucks all the time. I like to tempt fate and haven't been punished for it yet!
