Not really. The main types are plain, salted, and cultured.

Cultured is good, it should be used far more frequently. The best is home made butter. It tastes like whipped cream. Store bought butter is overly processed.

Making your own is dead simple, just get heavy cream and put it in your mixer.

It's about 800 calories and around the max recommended fat intake for a 2400 calorie diet. Not that bad unless you're eating a bunch of fatty meat and cheese on top of it and overeating in general.

Different guy, but I eat almost a quarter pound of butter a day, too. Muscular 175 lbs, high HDL, low LDL, low triglycerides. Butter is great. Aminal fats are great. Refined vegetable oils are not so great and sugar is the devil. I don't eat either of those.

i have a bmi of 23. also just been interested in food and nutrition since i was like 13 and i like to help people have a better understanding of nutrition so they can be healthier. it's usually fat people trying to lose weight who think fat is unhealthy and makes you fat, and supporting that idea just makes it harder for people to actually lose weight.
