Whenever I make an all-inclusive vacation, I make a point of asking for drinks with no ice, otherwise they are liable to fuck around and add a bit of alc to your iced cup leading to a place between nothing and frustration. Soft drinks with ice are an even more of a yiddish scam, but I dont drink those either.

Fuck ice.

Just get a cup and dump it in your bottle yourself. Also the soda is so cheap for restaurants that I've makes no real difference in cost to them. The cup costs more than the soda.

I rarely drink soda as well, so when it's full of ice and melts before I get home it's pretty annoying.
