Just having a little gunfire tea here. Which way is best for adding alcohol to your tea? Booze first then tea, or put the booze into the tea? What kind of tea and what booze do you prefer? Or a cocktail perhaps?

>> No.12950729

Booze and tea is always a disappointment.
Each dilutes the other too much to enjoy either.

nah, fuck ya.

I like a splash of tequila in my tea. It's cozy.

Mix Drumshanbo Gunpowder tea gin with green tea
It’s a little weird to mix booze with tea but if you're crossing the final frontier of alcoholism you need a floral liquor like gin

Thin, watery tea isn't cozy.

Bitch nigga I would never dilute my full leaf teas with booze. Completely kills their flavor.

Maybe you brew your tea too weak. Maybe your palate can’t distinguish the subtle and varied flavors cause you burnt your tongue.
And there isn’t anything wrong with a tall cocktail.

>> No.12950858

>>12950856
Tall cocktails add sugar and carbonation and complimentary flavors.
Not the same thing as just watering down your booze.

>> No.12950882

>>12950858
In this case, the muskiness Of the Darjeeling 2nd flush compliment the oak you get from this rum. Works for me. And tall cocktails are literally watering down booze. There doesn’t have to be carbonation or sugars added for it to be a tall cocktail. If I’d added honey to this, it’d be a hot toddy which you’ll find in plenty of cocktail guides.

Hot toddy is thin, watery booze and an utter disappointment.

you _know_ you have a drinking problem when you are even considering adding booze to tea

fine booze is to be enjoyed on its own
fine tea is to be enjoyed on its own

so the only way this makes sense is if they were both ghetto booze and low grade tea

used to work in a bar and a common mixer for martell would be green tea

the japanese also often mix green tea with umeshu (dessert plum liquor). So you have the notes of the green tea and the flora sweet taste of the choya.
