Globalization isn't a meme, it's just a basic reality. Isolationism and hyper-nationalism are purely reactionary, and if anything are disseminated to the disenfranchised via memes. Nobody wants open boarders, but the UK shutting itself off from international trade (which will effectively be the short term - and long lasting - result of Brexit) is utter stupidity.
