Most places won't fuck up a scampi, so that's not too bad. I can put away plenty of the peel-and-eat cocktail shrimp, too. I think my favorite way is grilled shrimp. They require such a light touch on the grill and they're easy to fuck up, but when they come out right with a bit of char and smoke...damn.

I agree with popcorn for tiny shrimp or a shrimp forcemeat. Scampi is great is you're a garlic lover. Personally I love them barely cooked and with cocktail sauce like at a party, but at home so I can hoard them without judgement.

That might be a nostalgia thing though, my mother knows my weird cravings and tastes and made a huge platter of cocktail shrimps for Christmas just for me one year.

If you like red lobster, you melt butter, put a little garlic powder in the pan, white wine vinegar, place the shrimps in the pan and cook, basil flakes on top, toss it. You have garlic wine shrimp in butter.

It's simple. My mom used to love everything at Red Lobster so I learned how to cook everything they had.

We live too far apart to huge now, but we send each other candy baskets, puzzles, etc. She's been nuts since for as far back as I remember and is with everyone, just enjoys trying everything. I'm one of the few people in the family that's like her, completely eclectic instead of picky.

Looks like there is a good crowd for shrimp here, is eating them really related in any way to Devil worship?

Nope. They just showed up on ancient dietary restriction lists because shellfish spoiled easily and could make you sick. Refrigeration beats God any day.
