Based upon what exactly? We have plenty of Amazon to clear for feeding grounds to meet demands and companies are replanting parts of the rain forest as they push further in to replenish the land (the media doesn't talk about the fact that logging companies know they need to replant trees to have stock in the future it's all sustainably done but that doesn't sell as well as saying the rainforest is on fire and we are all gonna die in a decade) so I can't possibly see it getting so bad that most Americans have to give up meat just due to cost especially considering the rust belt has plenty of farmable land for cattle and pigs

I honestly doubt it. I think prevalency of vegetarianism and veganism will rise, but so will the population.

Really depends on how the meat industry deals with complaints and changes to factory farming conditions with the rise in awareness.

Difference being that anyone with a brain has known for decades that factory-farmed meat is terrible and shops accordingly, while the vast majority of vegans honestly think they're being ecoconscious by making exotic vegetables grown on the other end of the planet their staples.

At least the faggots defending factory farming can make the argument that meat has nutritients that can't be gotten anywhere else and should be made available to everyone.
