The "real thing" is the stuff from Thailand like this. It's not difficult to get at in Chinatown places in the states or mail order it. The main difference is the viscosity(?) or thickness, the rooster brand is more squirtable and holds a line while the shark brand is more pourable.
Shark is really better, try it out.

I tried that out and just as the Kikkoman one, is total shit. One of these days I'll get around to doing a comparitive, I intended to do it a few years ago.
It came down to this, the coat tail hanger on ones, the johnny come lately ones such as kikkoman and tabasco suck.

The Goya brand one is pretty good, but I like samba oelek more. Sriracha is sweet and tangy, pretty overpowering.

Pfft, I guess just the Texas Pete substitute.
I'm not THAT brand-loyal, but for sriracha there really is no substitute...

So some meme shit like "texas pete" can compete? Do you realize that "texas pete" if doing sriracha is on the same hipster level as kikkoman and tabasco.
Do you realize that it only exists to fill a marketing niche for high falooting soccer moms?

You also didn't post their so called sriracha sauce so until I see that for myself I call bullshit.

That's not better, it's different.
You people have become such faggots these days that you "have" to pick a favorite, it doesn't work that way.

>> No.12877033

I think that a lot of you people have been watching too much tv.

>> No.12879210

this goya shit, the kikkoman shit, the texas pete shit, the tabasco shit... and others, it's all just total crap meant for hipsters and soccer moms. It's a sad state of affairs.

So what? It tastes good, sambal is stuff simple chile peppers steeped in oil that I can get from a local Chinese joint if I ask nicely.
