What's the best brand of frozen tendies? I always hated store bought because their sizes are so inconsistent. I hate the oversized tendies that are hard to cook all the way through. No matter what you do, the texture of the big tendies is never right. Where's my slender tendies that are perfect for dipping??

Great Value brand from Walmart is best brand. Just trust me.

Costco. They're garbage when you analyze them (processed, crumby instead of crispy, etc) but they taste pretty good and they're about the cheapest thing around. Fairly consistent size and shape, good for making wraps with or dipping.

Oh and they do crisp up decently in just an oven, but cook them longer (or hotter) than the box says to get said effect.

I think that's what I got last time and there was a bunch of giant tendies I had to cut up in order to get them cooked half decently. Maybe not though, I'll see if I recognize the packaging next time I'm at the store.

It's just the place I've consistently seen that brand and style. If you're in the 'states you'll probably have more options/places that sell it. Canada gets cucked as far as choices of food go. We get literally less than half of the variety.

This. Tendies are the "I forgot to take meat out of the freezer" or "didn't have time to do fresh groceries" meal. Nobody is kidding themselves into thinking you're making gourmet meals with Tendies.

>fag who makes breadcrumb tendies thinks he can talk down on anyone

anyway frying chicken at home makes a fucking mess. you have your bowl for the chicken and marinade, a bowl for the seasoned flour, a bowl for an egg wash if you're double breading, then you need a rack to dry the chicken before you fry it and another rack to let it cool down on. on top of that you have to filter and store all the oil you used.

>> No.12872997

>>12872890
I’m not saying it doesn’t make a mess, but it doesn’t make such a mess and take so much effort that it’s not worth doing. I swear to fucking god this board is retarded. Instead of talking about what our favourite spice mixes are or if we double fry fried chicken or teaching/helping people who can’t cook learn to everyone talks about their favourite frozen fucking tendies. every time I come on this board I believe more and more that no one actually knows how to cook or even likes good food... or food in general and cooking in general.

anyway these are some tendies I made a while ago. they're only single breaded and the camera I used sucks but they tasted good. another problem with making your own tendies is that you don't get the special sauces that you get at fast food places. most of the recipes I find are just mayo + ketchup pleb shit.

Wal-Mart had like tendies with a cheez-its crust. The only thing to note was that the chicken inside is uncooked so you can't microwave them. They have to be baked. But if you are willing to spend extra time baking them...
