I just had an egg mcmuffin for the first time. Why is this popular? It was incredibly bland.easily the least exciting thing I've had at mcd. Is it just that adding the optional bacon is essential for the enjoyment and I fucked up? Even them I doubt a thin slice of canuck bacon could really add enough taste to justify the popularity.

You just had egg and bread, of course it's not going to be mindblowing. Bacon can add quite a bit of flavor, even in small amounts, so yeah that's part of the problem. Condiments help. But it's mostly about convenience, since that's pretty easy to make at home.

The bacon is standard on it. OP had to have purposefully asked for it with no bacon on it, or the MCDs worker fucked it up. It comes with cheese on it too.
