Peak German cuisine.

English Döner = garbage
"Donair" = garbage

I tried the German doner just last week and was wholly unimpressed. It wasn't very good to put it mildly.

The bread was good. Everything else was bad. The sauce, I just don't like it. It's too sour and I like garlic sauce much better.
The meat was just very mediocre.

I was getting a better Doner in the Netherlands, by far, although it was about four times as expensive.

bullshit. there are fucking amazing döners outside of berlin. they are more expensive though.
The problem is there is such a huge variance in quality in germany. every turk can run a döner kebab, they can be shit-waterfall.tier or amazing

I'm fucking angry that the closest doner to me is over an hour away. Asheville mall, north Carolina. I get a doner from them every time I'm remotely close.

I know some very good affordable places in Frankfurt. It's just completely random.
Also a shame that many places only have chicken meat now.

You can't compare German and English Donor as they are usually completely different.

German Doner is Turkish style and uses their toasty bread and Veal, English Doner uses different meat usually (Lamb or Beef) and uses Pita bread instead.

The sauces are also usually different aswell, I prefer a good Cypriot English doner kebab than a German one anyday

I've had kebabs in every european country I've been to and the Dutch do it well. A kapsalon is the peak of kebab eating

The cheapest place in my town is the best. They make the bread themself and fresh all day long. I gues they are so cheap because it is a complete familiy working.
