They did. My entire highschool went there for lunch and McDonalds was closer. You might get kidney disease from the salt in the nacho chips but it was never better food, and the taco were twice as fresh and crunchy than they ever make today. It's an entirely different restaurant trying to make more money by being cheap and using gimmicks.

You can't do that unfortunately. It works like most ordering interfaces in that you pick a base menu item and can then customize it but the customizations are limited to the basics so that the software can be used in any location. Seemingly simple customs, like turning a Cheesy Gordita Crunch into a Doritos version, or asking for something steamed, or subbing flatbread in for a tortilla, isn't doable even though you can be rung in for it on the registers.
But it is pretty well thought out because aside from an ingredient standpoint it lets you add or subtract anything from any item. It seems as though the actual tortilla is the only thing they don't allow you to swap.

you can do that on your phone with the app. just pick whatever item is similar to what you want and then add/remove ingredients until you're content. It's not the most economical way to shop but it's not bad. I like getting them to grill stuff because it's free and it makes everything better.
