Hey Jimbo! order two teriyaki’s and make sure they take out all the veggies, yes I want white rice and gross cuts of chicken.

I cannot stand boomers and their horrible eating habits, I’m so tired of having to find the god forsaken phone number for the restaurant and actually having to bother some poor kitchen boy and the chef because I my 50yo man child of a dad cannot phantom the idea of having vegetables and onions in his food, he can’t even have the together in the same container without losing his shit.

He screamed at a waitress and taquero for having put a tiny amount of onion on his food. All I want to do Is order my shit on post mates and Uber eats and fuck off like the entitled zoomer that I am, fuck off, I am not your personal assistant and I hate having to order some bogus order every time you want to eat.

Has your dad always been this fuckin' embarrassing and shitty, OP? Why do you think he treats you the way he does when being less of a prick would make things easier for them.

That’s life really, he loves to talk about how much he hates onion anything on his food, he’s made us get up from restaurant once because there wasn’t any cheese on his sandwich once.

I apologize sir but we ran out cheese..
This is ridiculous! what restaurant doesn’t have cheese! I’m not coming here again! “Slams his dish on the table and tells us to follow hit out of the restaurant, truly embarrassing behavior.

I don't feel like this is a generational thing. You get people like this in all generations, many of which had more or less normal upbringings in terms of food variety and eating out. You'd be hard-pressed to them diagnosed with autism spectrum or anxiety disorders, if they're Boomers of Gen-Xers, though.
I can fully understand having preferences and expecting a certain level of service in any establishment, but making a scene when you can't have things your way is socially retarded. It isn't going to make anything better for anyone involved: standard maladaptive behaviour. Good luck correcting it if it's been going on for over twenty years.

i had a dad that had a very bad temper too. trust me, it's not really generational so much as a personal defect. boomers are entitled, yes, but 97% of them don't actually act like that.

If you ran out of cheese then tell the customer and let them decide, don’t just serve the sandwich without cheese and hope for the best.

Yeah, that's kind of common sense. Usually if there's going to be an omission, either the server knows it, or gets told about it. I can understand getting sidetracked in a packed house, especially if someone in the kitchen says "yeah, we sent a guy to the store", but not mentioning it until after the dish is served is usually just bad practice.

Then the staff did what was more or less reasonable. Running out of ingredients happens everywhere, including chain restaurants and even fast-food places. It's no real reason to give someone hell, but that's neither here nor there. As much as waitstaff are trained to deal with problem customers, there's always that kind of person who just isn't quite happy unless they have a reason to get angry and yell.

I think you’re right and wrong. Every generation has it’s entitled people but boomers have a certain attitude about service workers. Most haven’t worked such a job in so long they don’t remember how hard it can be and they have no idea what being a service worker in the modern age is like. For example my boomer relative regularly gets mad at the barely literate people who work at Walmart because they’re not home improvement experts with a photographic memory of their 1000s of SKUs. He routinely gets indignant at the lousy service/quality of fast food chains like subway too. Boomers imported low skill cheap labor to build the bottom level of the economy pyramid on and subsidize thier social security and now complain about it. They don’t understand why they don’t get food service at Applebee’s anymore. Melenials recognized that all this sucked and get derided for seeking out non corporate/boutique alternatives.

Yeah, American Chinese restaurants add way too many fucking veggies to everything. Twice cooked pork should be just pork, instead it's more veggies than meat. They're trying to rip you off.

Agreed. Place by my office makes fantastic sesame chicken but always loads the container with broccoli. Last time tried ordering no broccoli and they loaded it up with nothing but chicken, it was good

Exactly. In China they only serve meat. Vegetables are considered nothing but food to feed to animals to make them into meat.
