But I can eat Peanuts, nuts, chocolate, dairy. Just not shellfish, it's odd that my whole family can eat it just fine but if can't. Apparently, I'm allergic to eggs, but slightly in a blood test a couple of years ago, but I eat them just fine and dandy

For a lot of people it is an acquired taste. Shellfish taste very "fishy" or "like the sea", took me a while to get to like it. Crustaceans are a lot more neutral, most of that "sea" aroma is in their shell and you usually only eat the meat, maybe making broth out of the shells.
When you get to like it it is like an ocean breeze, it sure is good but fish is good too, if only not as concentrated

I remember that I was supposed to be allergic to a bunch of things. Can't remember now.

I feel pretty bad for you, as I do with anyone that suffers from allergies. The deep oceany briney fucking flavor you get from a raw oyster, fuck it's orgasmic. The rest of em, they are good but nothing is like oysters. Raw oysters are like the scotch of seafood.

I'm sorry for you OP. You ARE missing out. Scallops are my favorite and honestly, if you've never tried this texture of meat before, it can be hard to describe it. Scallops are pillowy soft, sort of like fresh mochi, in texture. . It's got a slight seafood-flavor and is usually savory and a little sweet and when smothered in melted garlic-butter, it's like your mouth has an orgasm. I shall eat one in your honor next time I get them, OP.

Raw oysters may take time to warm up to. (Like natto and organ meats that freak you out.)

The best way to have these is to obviously have them as fresh as possible. I like to mix cocktail sauce with horse radish and tobacco and a squeeze of lemon juice and then put a healthy dollop on the oyster before slurping the whole thing down in one shot.

The texture isn't slimy, but it is "wet" and the meat is very tender and seafoody. Like I said, it may not be your jam at first, but as you expose yourself to them more, you'll probably love them. (That is, if you could eat them.)

>those cracked, dry, overseared scallops
man this picture hurts, please delete, overcooking scallops is a cardinal sin and still extremely common. I would rather eat a raw scallop than an overcooked one every single day of the week.
In fact, regardless of anything else, I would love to eat raw scallop every day of the week. Find a place that does good hotate sashimi and go to town, my friends. No soy or wasabi and ask them not to put ginger on the plate so there's no contamination.

Place your tongue on a penny. Now imagine somthing with the bite of a sausage, but with a slight stringy feel to it akin to a twizzler, though with a meaty texture. Now imagine that penny taste mixed in with a hint of egg yolk and a large amount of pork juice mixed with seawater. This is the closest way I can describe plain steamed lobster. Its a very unique taste so describing it properly is incredibly difficult.
