Bats are cute as hell, I caught one once, it was flying around in a hallway of my apartment building and I had a plastic bag with a couple drinks in it, so I pulled the drinks out, opened a couple windows in the hall and bagged the bat in the bag. I got a good look at it and it was damn cute, then I opened the bag outside of the window and it flew off in peace.

Eating bats is a terrible idea. In a lot of areas they're close to becoming endangered or they might already be endangered because of a fungal infection, so that should be more than enough reason. Besides that, they barely have any meat and it's way easier to catch other animals that will give you a better meal.
