i would think so, theres a layer of some type of plastic or rubber on the inside of cans

Google it

that being said, its fine for just heating up if under 100°C and not for long periods of time, or the epoxy on the inside might melt into your food and even change the taste of it. Or do it if u wanna eat plastic like a fag.

also dont scratch the inside, as the plastic lining protects the contents against the bare metal of the can, which could be dangerous if consumed on the regular.

I did this once with a pickle jar. It shattered and the cheese sauce I was storing in there went everywhere. It was on a stove like yours too, so it was a bitch to clean up.

Cans were not made to cook food, only to store it. And although some are pressure cooked in the factory, this is not the same as heating them over direct heat such as a flame.

You can investigate and see if there is any danger of doing it for your particular can of beans, but its way safer/easier to just heat them in a little pan.

>Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set 24oz Stainless Steel
get one of these, they are $12.38 on Amazon, you pour your soup into it and then put it on the stove, no plastic coating on the inside that will leech into your soup when heated.. or buy a sauce pan
