I'm trying to make some low calorie protein rich cakes, I'm wondering what ingredients I can add to cut carbs, calories, and maintain taste. Can protein powder be used to replace flour? Also any other suggestions?

Look up some keto cake recipes
They sub flour with almond/coconut flour, add whey for volume. Lots of eggs tend to be used. Zero carb sweeteners like erythritol or stevia are used.

Protein and fat heavy meal will do that. You dont need anything special for that except skip on pasta/rice/sugary drinks.
Then if you want you can make milkshakes with 100g whey/eggs/peanut butter added and that'll work fine. Or flavored coffee with added fats if you want a quick morning meal.
